Sicily ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Sicily is beautiful & everybody knows it!

Before I show you some pictures of Sicily that I've taken on my trip, here is an interesting timeline of Sicilian history.

Over 2,500 years at a strategic "intersection" of the western world, Sicily is left with an unmatchable historical legacy. Nowhere else in the world have Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, French, Germans, Spanish, Italians and even British left an impression.

A timeline of the history of Sicily:

750-215 BC – The Greeks
264-211 BC -  The Punic Wars
218 BC – 468 AD  - The Romans
